Why VOCES?
Your voice deserves a specialist,
not a one-size-fits-all lesson.
At VOCES Academy of the Arts, every student is treated as an individual. We begin by listening to your voice, your experience, and your goals. From there, we create a clear training path designed to help you build healthy technique, greater confidence, and a more complete understanding of your instrument.
Whether you are beginning for the first time, returning to singing after years away, preparing for an audition, or developing advanced repertoire, your lessons are shaped around the singer you are and the artist you want to become.
-
Vocal specialists, not generalists.
Every VOCES instructor holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance or higher. You will study with a teacher whose advanced training is centered specifically on the singing voice.
-
Training shaped around your unique voice.
Our faculty combines evidence-based vocal pedagogy with personalized coaching. Technique, repertoire, pacing, and exercises are selected according to your needs rather than pulled from a standard formula.
-
From the lesson room to the stage.
VOCES students receive opportunities to apply their training through two main concerts each year, community experiences, and special 21+ karaoke nights for adult students.
Voice Training for Every Age and Stage
A place to begin, return, and keep growing.
VOCES welcomes children, teens, and adults at every stage of their musical lives. Some students arrive with years of performance experience. Others have never taken a voice lesson or sung outside the privacy of their own homes. Both belong here.
-

Adults
Begin for the first time, return after time away, develop a reliable technique, or prepare for the stage in a supportive environment that takes your goals seriously.
-

Children and Teens
Build healthy vocal habits, musicianship, confidence, and artistic curiosity through age-appropriate training for developing voices.
-

Online Singers
Receive the same individualized VOCES instruction from home, whether you live elsewhere in North Texas or far beyond the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Voice Lesson Plans
A clear plan for meaningful progress.

More Than Weekly Lessons
Technique grows through practice.
Artistry grows through experience.
VOCES gives students meaningful ways to use what they are learning. Our two main concerts each year provide a supportive performance goal, while community events and adult 21+ karaoke nights create additional spaces to build confidence, connection, and stage experience.
Participation is approached according to each student's readiness and goals. The purpose is not pressure. It is to create a community in which singers can be heard, encouraged, and celebrated.
VOCES Academy of the Arts is proud to serve as an Official Sponsor of Atchley Opera, supporting the continued growth of opera and vocal artistry in our community.
